Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio
Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972, is an American actress. She is most well-known for her character of attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), where she is two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She was also on the NBC show Whitney (2011–2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011–2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant for the United States Navy, and her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service. She grew up in a family that moved often, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona as well as Japan. Following in the footsteps of her mother and father who were artists, she began studying drawing, painting, and architecture from an early age. Although she pursued the visual arts throughout her life, she discovered a passion for acting. In college she was introduced to contemporary theater. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at college, Seehorn was looking to get into theater, after being encouraged by her acting coach. To be noticed she was employed in the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theater industry. She was able to get some important part in local theater productions. But, she had to work odd jobs to pay the bills. To pay for her expenses she also took on parts in short industrial instructional films. In the following years, she was able to find roles in more television shows, frequently playing roles that she thought were "very humorous, sarcastic, and intelligent women" like her idol Bea Arthur. The majority of her roles were removed after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Wellman (Bob Odenkirk).
