Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, born July 23 1970, is an American actress. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also starred in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was featured in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter as a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a member of a song and dance group which performed in the Las Vegas Valley when she was 9 years old. old.When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a clerk in a video store as well as an aerobics teacher and in property management. She also was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male buddies were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. Both her friends and Hubbard were killed during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene while both of her friends were saved. Hubbard was detained, later found guilty and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard's flashlight, an official police flashlight, off the beach. The flashlight was a crucial piece of evidence against Hubbard.
