Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). At the age 4, she started in the business with voice overs as well as commercial work. Her first film was Private Parts (1997). The Object of My Affection was her next film. She appeared on Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in the park and was fostered by Josie. Sarah was able to continue working with Amy Carlson ("Josie") numerous times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was chosen to play one of the younger "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) the same year she was cast as "Molly" on ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) which starred Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. Also, Joe Gould's Secret (2000) and Falcone (2000). Sarah took classes in jazz tap, hip hop, Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed in her Theatre and tap classes at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. After being taught at home by her mom, she went to public schools from second grade onwards. When she was in 6th grade she was admitted to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) where she stayed until her graduation in 2008. When Sarah was 18 then she moved to Los Angeles, CA and, within two weeks, she had been able to land a plane named "My American Family". The pilot's name was later changed to Modern Family (2009, after Sarah had been selected). Sarah is currently the "Haley Dunphy", an the eldest Dunphy children. Modern Family (2009) won many awards, including the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
