Penelope Cruz Sanchez

Penelope Cruz Sanchez is the daughter of Eduardo Cruz, a Madrid hairdresser, as well as Encarna Sanchez, a hairdresser from Madrid. She was a compulsive performer as a young girl and often reenacted TV commercials for family amusement. However, she decided to focus her attention on dance. In 1998, her luck changed when she won the award for Best Actress Goya for the movie industry comedy La Nina De Tus Ojos (1998). Cruz went on to make several more journeys to English-language films, however All About My Mother (1999) was her first big international hit. She played a unchaste however well-meaning nun.
