Natasha Henstridge
Natasha Tonya
Henstridge, born on August 15, 1974, is a Canadian actor from Canada. She
gained fame in 1995 when she landed her debut role in the sci-fi thriller
Species. Then followed Species II, as well as Species III. She has appeared in
a variety of TV and film series since the time and has appeared in numerous
television shows, including Maximum Risk (1996) and The Whole Nine Yards
((2000), The Whole Ten Yards (2004) and Ghosts of Mars (2001), She Spies
(192002-2004), Eli Stone (2008) and Would Be Kings (2008). She was awarded the
Gemini Award as Best Actress in the film. She has been on the CBC Television
series Diggstown since the year 2019. Henstridge was born in Springdale,
Newfoundland and Labrador native. She was the daughter of Helen Henstridge (a
homemaker) and Brian Henstridge (a construction manager and businessman). She
grew up in Fort McMurray with her younger brother Shane. Henstridge was 14 when
she was a participant in the Casablanca Modeling Agency's Look of the Year
Contest and was named the first second place. She relocated to Paris in the
year following to pursue her modeling ambitions. She was just 15 when she
appeared on Cosmopolitan's French issue cover. Henstridge appeared on a number
of magazines' covers, and later was later featured in commercials on television
for Old Spice, Olay and Lady Stetson. Once her modeling career was established,
Henstridge began doing commercials but ultimately decided acting was her
passion most.
